Hair Love | Nak Hair Care

My recent hair care routine has been all about big, voluminous, thick, and of course, healthy looking and feeling hair. And if you're one of those fine, colour treated, flat, dry hair girls like me, this post is definitely for you.

1. Revitalise Thickening Shampoo (available here) | 2. Revitalise Thickening Conditioner (available here)

I'm a big believer in investing in a great shampoo and conditioner - it's the foundation of every good hair care routine. I've been using the Scalp to Hair Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner for just over a month now and have been LOVING the results. First off, this shampoo is designed for thin/thinning/chemically treated hair so it's got a lot of technical ingredients (and is of course sulphate and paraben free like all Nak products) that help keep your scalp healthy to promote hair growth. I've tried a couple other scalp specific products in the past however they've all come off as excessively medicinal smelling. The thickening shampoo and conditioner has a light scent (almost a little pepperminty) that really leaves your hair smelling and feeling fresh and clean. It works a little differently to your normal routine - the focus is mainly on massaging the product really well into the scalp and leaving it on for a few minutes before rinsing. And after a few washes I've noticed my hair feeling a lot softer and fuller, especially towards the ends. I highly recommend this shampoo and conditioner combo as a great preventative treatment as well - say if you were to use it once a week instead of your regular shampoo and conditioner - I think it would be a perfect way to maintain healthy hair.

1. Dry Klean Dry Shampoo (available here) | 2. Body n Shine Sea Salt Root Life (available here) | 3. Aroma Oil Spray (available here) | 4. Done n Dusted Styling Powder (available here)

To keep with the voluminous hair theme, I've been loving using the Body n Shine Sea Salt Root Lift spray on damp hair, just before blow drying. A couple of sprays gives the hair lots of lift and volume without feeling heavy or using a lot of product. The sea salt element leaves a natural semi-matte look but not a matte texture (which I love as the hair still has lots of movement to it). Sometimes regular sea salt sprays can leave your hair feeling dry with that dirty matte feel. On second or third day hair, I refresh my usually loosely waved hair (you can read more about how I style my hair here) with a bit of Dry Klean dry shampoo (one of the best I've tried) or the Done n Dusted styling powder.

The Done n Dusted powder is definitley a hero product in my books. If you use dry shampoo for volumnising (which I used to) you'll definitely love this instead. I usually part my hair in random places and give the bottle a couple of taps and then run my fingers through. Instant volume that actually lasts throughout the day. Just make sure you apply the smallest amount. The first time I used it I practically dumped the whole thing on my head and my hair was a sticky mess so less is definitely key!!

As much as I love a matte finish, I do like the ends of my hair to look shiny and healthy. The Aroma Oil Spray is perfect for this as it's a super lightweight oil (almost like a dry oil) that gives the hair a healthy looking sheen, thanks to the argan oil. It's hard to overdose on this product so I love to spray it quite liberally throughout the bottom half of my hair especially before I leave the house - the light floral scent is amazing. If you have thicker or coarser hair, I definitely recommend the original Aroma Oil formula.

Hope this has helped some of your out, especially if you were looking for some tips on achieving thicker, fuller looking hair! Definitley leave me any questions or thoughts in the comment section as always x
