How To | My "Perfectly Imperfect" Curls

Jill Stuart Fall 2014 RTW

One of my most asked questions recently has been all about my hair. I've changed up a few products over the last few weeks (which I've been loving and will let you all know in a separate post coming up soon) but I've also been using a new curling iron which I'm sure is my new holy grail. If you've read my previous hair posts you know how much I love the effortless waves, a bit unkempt but still polished. My hair is naturally pin straight and super shiny, so of course I love the matte, messy and textured look (you always want what you cant have right!).

Outfit Of The Day 10.03.14

I'm all about my black knits. They're the perfect wardrobe staple for all seasons. Right now I'm in love with this Maurie & Eve jumper and what makes it extra special is the ultra cool diagonal cutout on the side. Perfect for showing off a little skin or to highlight any waist detailing. I thought this would be a great piece to layer over my Lee playsuit. Love this tartan print (which I'm currently obsessed with, especially coming into the cooler months)! And always finish off with a little leopard...

Outfit Of The Day 03.03.14

I've been obsessed with these Tony Bianco open toed boots (I think you know by now!). And I hope you're not already sick of seeing them, as I plan on sporting them non stop for at least the next few weeks. I mean if you love something, it's there to be worn to death right? And what's better is that they're currently on sale from $220 to $60 (stop right now and go get yourself a pair from Santini), so I think it's only logical I get myself another pair as well to see me through the season.

I love this look for a couple of reasons: 1. it's monochrome and 2. it mixes a lot of textures. The basic mohair like knit from Alice in the Eve finishes above the hips so you can see all the detail on these amazing embroidered shorts from Sabo Skirt. These shorts are almost too pretty, so pair it with a leather jacket (this one was bought from a J.Crew sample sale years ago and is still my favourite - the fit and classic biker shape is timeless) to "unsoften" the look. The more grunge the better.
