My Favourite Candles

Having candles in my home is as important to me as keeping a well stocked fridge. It's a need. So decorating my place so that it not only smells heavenly and has the right ambience, but also feels cozy and chic is ideal when creating a lovely and welcoming living space. I have candles scattered all through out my home, usually in little groups of varying brands and scents that work well when lit together (I love mixing scents and creating my own personal home fragrance). There's nothing more peaceful than unwinding in a calm and candlelit glowing atmosphere created just for yourself. Candles are also my go to when gift giving, it's such a favourite amongst everyone and a perfect treat if you know some people who wouldn't normally justify spending a little more for those luxury favourites.

They can really do no wrong in my book, so here's a little list of my current favourite candles to give you some inspiration when you're gift shopping or looking for a little something new for yourself...

1. Bombardier Designs | Shop here
As you all know I'm a huge supporter of Kayla Bombardier, the creative force behind Bombardier Designs, so these soy candles definitely hold a special place in my home. My favourite scents from the Numbered Collection are Roasted Coffee, Vanilla and Chai Latte. I've just recently been introduced to the Winter Collection which features some mouthwatering cozy scents like Vanilla Latte (my favourite!) and Toasted Marshmallows. These are some unique candles thanks to the wood wicks which create the most beautiful atmosphere - the burning of the wick emulates the sound of a crackling fire, so comforting! I'm also a huge fan of BD candles because you can create personalised candles using initials or names - the perfect and most thoughtful gift. I'm adamant on never burning my Miss. Vydia or my V candle!!

2. Jo Malone Shop here
Where to begin with Jo Malone candles, or in fact, Jo Malone anything?? Jo Malone is the queen of fragrances and if you've ever read up on her, she's actually a very interesting and inspirational woman! The scents from the JM range are the most beautiful blend and the fragrances always last for ages even in a large space. I've tried a few Jo Malone candles but my absolute favourites are Pomegranate Noir, and Nectarine Blossom and Honey.

3. Diptyque Shop here
My favourite luxury candles! I will admit (especially in Aus) these are a bit of a splurge, but certainly well worth it. These scents represent pure relaxation to me and I always feel calm and less stress whenever one is lit at my place. Baies is my all time favourite scent, but I also love Roses and Baies Noire. Diptyque make the ultimate present and are such a lovely luxury to have around the home!

4. Palm Beach Collection Shop here
I love PBC - I love the heavy glass jars and the fact that they come with a lid! PBC have the most divine range of fragrances, each representing a memory or unique experience. The owners of PBC, Mike and Kirsten are simply amazing people and the extent of their success is purely attributable to how amazing their candles are and the wonderful vision of a laid back, chill lifestyle they portray. My favourite scents from Palm Beach include Quince, Coconut and Lime, and of course French Vanilla. If you want to read a little more about PBC, you can check out my chat with Mike and Kirsten here

5. The Glow Co Shop here
I've only recently just been introduced to The Glow Co candles, but my first scent Hollywood, has me wanting to try out some more! This scent is absolutely divine, TGC describe it as caramel, musk sticks and fairy floss (umm yum!), but if you love super sweet scents like me, you'll love it! The website also have a create your own scent which I'm dying to try, I'm thinking vanilla, vanilla and more vanilla? And at such a reasonable price point, they are definitely worth giving a go!

Hope this has helped inspire some of you! If you have a favourite candle that I haven't mentioned, definitley leave me a comment and let me know!

Enjoy
