Vivian Ashworth Store Launch

Hope you've all been well! First off, so sorry for not having posted regularly in a while, it was that amazing time of the year again where I regret enrolling in university education (just kidding, I love uni - just not exams). But I really appreciate all the emails and comments I've received over the past couple of weeks asking me where I was!!

So a few weeks ago, I headed off to Vivian Ashworth's launch of her brand new concept store/makeup academy on Greville St. The Great Gatsby theme for the night provided the perfect setting for Vivian's vintage inspired and decadent new store. The night was filled with amazing vintage fashion and I especially loved the models dressed in intricately detailed Gwendolynne gowns and wearing just as amazing Richard Nylon head pieces. And of course I assumed people rocked the all black in the 20's and that's exactly the direction I headed.

So in case you needed a little heads up, Vivian Ashworth is an Australian industry veteran, having been in the hair and makeup world for more than 25 years - she definitely knows a thing or two or a million. Vivian is all about embracing natural beauty but also not being afraid of experimenting with colour and adding a touch of glamour. And when you look at the Beauty is Life range (an industry favourite German brand which is exclusively stocked at Vivian's store), it's hard not to get inspired (coming from someone who only wears 50 shades of bronze on her eyes)!

Speaking of the new store, it's stunning - vintage, glamorous and very old Hollywood. Not only does it look divine with it's black timber floors and white and vibrant pink detailing, the brands Vivian stocks are some of industry's best along with some of Vivian's personal favourites. Vivian is a huge ambassador for brands which are cruelty free, eco-friendly that also offer products that are free from unnecessary chemicals and additives. Think brands like Beauty is Life, Cloud Nine (i.e. the BEST hair straighteners), Alterna and Curtis Collection.

And here's a little on what I wore:

DRESS: Shilla (available here) | FAUX FUR VEST: Little Lace (available here) | RED LIP: Beauty is Life (available here)

Speaking to Vivian was an absolute pleasure and the passion and the amazing amount of knowledge she has is unparalleled. You can check out the Vivian Ashworth website here or if you live in Melbourne and are bit of a hair and makeup lover, you can visit Vivian's store at 109 Greville St Prahran.

Enjoy
