Ask Vydia: Denim Essentials Under $200

Hi Vydia!! Loving your blog and loving the new lifestyle topics you're keeping us informed about! I'm after some amazing jeans and was just wondering which brands you recommend? Hopefully $200 and under so that I can get a few pairs :) Big Thanks! x Kirby

Hey Kirby! This is such a great question, there are so many denim companies out there (particularly Australian labels) so finding a few essentials, especially under $200 and at a great quality, is no issue at all!

My FAVOURITE label for jeans is a brand that's made in Melbourne (yay!), called Nobody denim. I LOVE this label because their jeans are a really great fit (very slimming and the slight high rise creates length to the silhouette) but still comfortable to wear, due to the great stretch and super soft fabric. In other words, these are some seriously quality jean! And in case you were interested, the label only uses fabrics that are fairly and ethically sourced.

Cult Skinny - Base $189.00
Cult Skinny - Livid $199.00
Cult Skinny - Addict $199.00

The Cult Skinnies are the brand's trademark and is one of those tried and tested pieces, you cant go wrong with them! I've seen so many celebrities sport Nobody, especially Miranda Kerr (love her outfit above with a loose striped tee, Nobody jeans and IM bobby's!). I've listed my three favourite washes from Nobody above, you cant go past having the classic indigo, light and medium washes in your wardrobe. Absolute staples!

Recently, I've also been LOVING the distressed denim trend! The look is so effortless and ultra cool especially when paired with a simple marle grey tee or white muscle tank.

Bardot Melrose Vintage Jean $139.95
Sass and Bide The Third Person Boyfriend Jean $90.00 (Currently on sale!)

This style of denim is everywhere right now, but I'm loving these Bardot torn jeans which are an absolute steal! Likewise, I found the Sass and Bide ones on sale for only $90.00!! My only tip with this style is to go try them on in store so you can see how you look with the relaxed fit (everyone looks great in a skinny style in my opinion, but some may find it a bit more difficult to pull of the boyfriend style).

Hope this was able to help you out!
